Interview with Magus Books
Four of my books are in a special grouping called, “Traveling on the Dark Side.” They include History and Haunting of the Emerald Isle, The Haunting of the Anoka Masonic Lodge, Tracking Dracula, and The Shaman Stone. I will be giving talks on the first three in October; live at Magus Books and virtually on Zoom through various Community Eds. Check the “Powerpoint Talks” menu for dates and contacts. The books are also for sale at Magus Books in NE Minneapolis, The Big White House in Anoka, and on Amazon.com (links available in “Books” menu). Here is an interview I gave at Magus Books about them. Enjoy.
Medal of Honor
When the Medal of Honor Convention was held in Minneapolis on Oct. 3, 2016, the committee members asked the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to research and write short biographies of the 72 Minnesota men who had received that prestigious award. I was part of that team. I wrote four of the biographies and saw to the publication of the entire body as a book, Minnesota Recipient of the Medal of Honor. I was contacted a few years later by Doug Ohman, a Minnesota photographer and historian. He had read the book and said it inspired him to make a documentary of it for public television. He took it to another level, traveling the state and interviewing friends and relatives of those brave men who are now all deceased. I had my five minutes of fame as one of his interviewees. Here is a link to that PBS show. The book, itself, is available at the Big White House and on Amazon.com and I will be giving a Zoom talk on it on Veterans’ Day, Nov. 11. Check it out on my website under PowerPoint Presentations for contact information
