June Gossler Anderson
June Gossler Anderson is the award-winning author of eleven books, embracing both fiction and non-fiction. Her audiences include readers of all ages and her genres include history, paranormal, memoir, and children’s books, both chapter books and illustrated. Most recently, the Anoka County Library System honored her as a 2024 Featured Writer for her latest work, The Other Side of Anoka, a Novel of Historical Fiction.
June publishes her books independently and teaches an online class, How to Publish Your Book without Going Broke, through participating community education programs. In her capacity as a teacher, she has mentored and guided many writers through the publishing process, helping them bring their books to fruition.
With a son in the foreign service and an interest in the paranormal, June has traveled to many places, far, wide, and haunted. Two of her books in the “Traveling on the Dark Side” PowerPoint series are based on her paranormal travels with Dave Schrader, host of Darkness Radio, while the three “Armchair Traveler” PowerPoint programs stemmed from her travels in former Soviet bloc countries. But the book that started her on this journey was the result of joining a group of DAR writers to research the biographies of Minnesota heroes for the Medal of Honor Convention held in October of 2016. June saw to the publication of this valuable research and was frequently invited to be a guest speaker at historical centers and veterans’ organizations. Although she is available for in-person presentations, most of these programs are now delivered online through classes listed in participating Community Education catalogs.
